Flyers Community Caravan Brings Orange and Black Spirit to Ocean City

The Philadelphia Flyers brought a wave of orange and black enthusiasm to Ocean City today, as their highly anticipated Community Caravan, presented by Xfinity, made a successful stop at the Jersey Shore. The event, now in its ninth summer, delighted fans of all ages with interactive activities and a chance to connect with the team.

Tori Kimberly, the Flyers’ Community Director, expressed her delight with the turnout and the atmosphere in Ocean City. “Ocean City is one of our favorite spots to come,” she shared. “It’s such a great area for families and kids.”

A special highlight of the Ocean City visit was the pre-Caravan session dedicated to participants of the Ocean City Recreation Department’s hockey camp. “We actually come as a part of the Ocean City Rec Department hockey camp, so we put on a special hour free of Caravan ahead of time for the kids in the hockey camp to play,” explained Kimberly. “And then we open up to the general public after that. Ocean City has always been very welcoming to us, and we appreciate them and all the Flyers fans in the area.”

The Community Caravan is a cornerstone of the Flyers’ commitment to their fan base, reaching out to communities throughout the Greater Philadelphia region and beyond. It serves as an excellent opportunity for fans to engage with the team during the offseason, fostering a strong connection and building excitement for the upcoming season.

For those who missed out on the Ocean City fun, the Flyers Community Caravan is just getting started on its shore tour. Tomorrow, Wednesday, July 16th, the Caravan will be in North Wildwood from 3:30 PM to 5:30 PM. The following day, Thursday, July 17th, fans can catch them in Sea Isle City from 2:30 PM to 4:00 PM.

Events like the Community Caravan also raise awareness for Flyers Charities, which contributes to numerous non-profit organizations throughout the Greater Philadelphia region.
