Join the Celebration: Ocean City PBA Hosts National Night Out
The Ocean City Police Department PBA Local 61 is proud to announce its annual National Night Out event. This is a free, family-friendly celebration, will take place on Tuesday, August 5, 2025, from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at Carey Stadium, conveniently located behind Ocean City High School (on the beach block between Fifth Street and Sixth Street).
National Night Out is a nationally recognized initiative that brings together police departments and the communities they serve for an evening of engagement and fun. On the first Tuesday in August, millions of neighbors across thousands of communities nationwide take part in National Night Out events. From traditional block parties, cookouts, and potlucks to festivals, parades, and youth events, communities come together to show their commitment to public safety and unity. The program was established in 1984 by the National Association of Town Watch (NATW) with the goal of strengthening the bond between law enforcement and the communities they protect.
The Ocean City event promises an exciting array of activities for all ages, including bounce houses, face painters, and balloon animals. Attendees will also have the unique opportunity to witness thrilling demonstrations, such as a K-9 demonstration and a drone demonstration, and experience the excitement of a helicopter landing. For those looking to make a splash, a dunk tank will be on hand, alongside superhero characters for the younger crowd. Of course, no community event would be complete without delicious food and much more.
The Ocean City Police Department PBA Local 61 encourages all residents and visitors to mark their calendars and join them for an evening of community spirit, entertainment, and partnership at Carey Stadium on August 5th.
