Ocean City Chamber of Commerce Celebrates Local Excellence with Annual Awards

Ocean City Chamber of Commerces award

The Ocean City Chamber of Commerce recently honored the backbone of the community —its local businesses and leaders —with the annual Business and Beautification Awards. The awards celebrated new ventures, stunning renovations, and decades of service that contribute to Ocean City’s unique charm and vitality. The Business & Beautification Awards will be a part of the Ocean City Chamber’s Citizen of the Year event on Nov. 13 at 6 p.m. at the Ocean City Yacht Club.

The awards highlighted the dynamic growth and investment across the island. The Outstanding New Business award was given to two recent additions, Holiday Coffee and Lululemon, for their immediate positive impact.

Several established businesses were recognized for their commitment to enhancing their properties. The award for Business Renovation/Improvement went to The Spotted Whale, Piccini Restaurant, and Salt Works Studio. Meanwhile, The Yard, J. Bradley Capital, and Ocean City Cars and Trucks were honored for impressive New Construction projects. Enhancing the island’s visual appeal, Yianni’s Cafe, Stainton’s Kids, and Three Little Birds received awards for Outstanding Landscaping/Signage.

In today’s digital world, a strong online presence is key. Little Travelers and Pacaless were recognized for Best Website/Use of Technology. Highlighting a commitment to sustainability, The Garb Collection was awarded for being an Environmentally Friendly business.

The heart of Ocean City lies in its community spirit. The award for Outstanding Service to the Community was presented to the Ocean City Free Public Library and the Exchange Club of Ocean City. In the non-profit sector, the Knights of Columbus-Ocean City were also honored for their dedicated service.

Two new establishments quickly became local favorites and were awarded Best New Family Friendly Business: The Board Room and Alicia’s Balloon Boutique.

The local culinary scene also saw new stars emerge. The Best New Restaurant award was shared by the Blue Cactus Taco Shop and the OC Lobster Pot.

The Chamber also celebrated incredible business milestones, recognizing the dedication and longevity of several local institutions.
