52nd Annual Flower Show Celebrates “Red, White and Blooms”
The celebration kicks off on the Boardwalk as the Ocean City Flower Show returns to the historic Ocean City Music Pier from Friday, June 5 through Sunday, June 7.
Now in its 52nd year, this local favorite is presented by the Garden Club of Ocean City. This year’s theme, “Red, White and Blooms,” encourages enthusiasts of all ages to submit floral creations and horticultural displays celebrating our nation’s upcoming 250th anniversary.
Exhibitors will compete for awards across a variety of artistic design and horticulture categories. Beyond the competitive displays, attendees can browse a small sales pavilion.

Downtown Traditions: The Weekly Farmers Market Returns
If you love fresh, locally grown produce and handmade goods, clear your Wednesday mornings. The popular weekly Farmers Market officially opens for the 2026 season on Wednesday, June 3.
Located on the grounds of the Ocean City Tabernacle (along Asbury Avenue between Fifth Street and Sixth Street), the market will run every Wednesday from 8 a.m. to noon through early September. In addition to Jersey-fresh agricultural products and specialty treats, local crafters will be set up along the 500 block of Asbury Avenue.
Cast a Line: New PBA Local 61 Fishing Tournament
Anglers have a brand-new event to look forward to this season. On Sunday, June 7, the Ocean City Police Benevolent Association (PBA) Local 61 will sponsor its inaugural Fishing Tournament.
Teams of up to four anglers are invited to compete for cash prizes. Following a day out on the water, participants and supporters will head to American Legion Post 524 for the official weigh-in and a celebratory community barbecue. Printable registration forms and complete tournament rules can be found here.
On the Horizon: Emergency Responder 5K (June 13)
Registration is actively open for the newly renamed Emergency Responder 5-Kilometer Race on Saturday, June 13. Formerly known as the “Cop Chase,” the redesigned event honors all first responders. The event stages out of the Ocean City Civic Center (Sixth Street and Boardwalk), with race-day registration opening at 7 a.m. and the main event starting at 8:30 a.m.
The 5K and a 1-Mile Fun Run/Walk will travel down the Boardwalk and finish up on the Ocean City High School track. There are also plenty of events for kids on the field, including 50-meter and 100-meter dashes, alongside a 400-meter obstacle course. Sign up online.
