Ocean City Chamber to Honor Local Leaders at Annual Salute to Working Women
The Ocean City Chamber of Commerce is gearing up to honor female leadership at its annual Salute to Working Women on April 16th. This year’s event will spotlight three women who have made meaningful contributions to the business, legal, and volunteer sectors on the island.
Business Leader of the Year: Lindsay Monihan
Lindsay Monihan, Owner and Manager of Monihan Realty, is the event’s main honoree. As the third generation in her family’s business, she took on the leadership role in 2022 following a 15-year career at JPMorgan Investment Bank.
Since taking the helm, Monihan has successfully balanced tradition with modernization. Her impact includes:
- Operational Excellence: Implementing advanced performance systems and enhancing the overall client experience.
- Team Leadership: Overseeing a dedicated team of 20 agents and 10 staff members.
- Civic Engagement: Serving on the Executive Board of the Chamber and the Board of Directors for the Ocean City Board of Realtors.
- Philanthropy: Actively supporting the Renee Parker Monihan Foundation.
Community Service Award: Jane Custer
The Chamber will present the Community Service Award to Jane Custer, a woman dedicated to helping others. As a veteran substitute teacher in the Ocean City School District, Custer’s influence extends far beyond her teaching role.
Her community involvement encompasses volunteering at Gilda’s Club and her church ministry, along with supporting local youth sports and elderly neighbors. Notably, Custer has transformed her personal family struggles into a legacy of hope by spearheading scholarship programs in her daughter’s memory.
Guest Speaker: Dottie McCrosson
Dottie McCrosson, a distinguished attorney known for her extensive public service, will deliver the keynote speech. She is the current Solicitor for Ocean City and holds the position of President at the Cape May County Bar Foundation.
McCrosson, a past “Professional Lawyer of the Year,’ exemplifies resilience and professional excellence throughout her career. Her insights are anticipated to reflect the event’s fundamental values: dedication, service, and inspiration.
