Celebrate Labor Day in Ocean City with Beach Races and Live Music at the Music Pier
Ocean City is closing out the summer with a packed lineup of events over the Labor Day holiday weekend, featuring live tribute concerts at the Ocean City Music Pier and the return of a beloved annual beach race.
Wednesday, Sept. 2: “Starman: The Best of David Bowie” Vocalist and songwriter Camille K joins Maestro Vince Lee and the Vince League Superstars band for an evening dedicated to the legendary David Bowie. The concert starts at 7:30 p.m. at the Ocean City Music Pier and will highlight classic hits like “Space Oddity,” “Fame,” and some of Bowie’s iconic collaborations. (Please note: The Ocean City Pops will not perform at this show.)
Sunday, Sept. 6: “Dinosaurs, Aliens, & Adventure: The Movie Music of John Williams” The Ocean City Pops takes the Music Pier stage at 7:30 p.m. to celebrate one of cinema’s greatest composers. Led by Maestro Vince Lee—a former collaborator and premier interpreter of John Williams’ catalog—the concert will showcase legendary scores from Star Wars, Jaws, War Horse, and Far & Away, alongside his signature Olympic themes.

Monday, Sept. 7: 35th Annual Labor Day Race Wrap up the holiday with a seaside run on the beach at 23rd Street:

Events: A 5-mile run (23rd Street to 46th Street and back) and a 1-mile health walk/run (23rd Street to 18th Street and back).

Schedule: Race-day registration opens at 7:30 a.m., with all races starting at 9 a.m.
